I mean, I can come up with Beliefs and Instincts at work. I'm trying to hammer out some basic mechanics.

That looks about right, yeah. And 4 LP is the correct limit.

Seemed appropriate given everything I heard. I could'a stopped with Voice, but then I'd be... what? 15?

You know what's funny? Taking Old Man only would of made me 25. I wonder what the life expectantcy is around here. Considering society is driven around suicide, probably 25 is 'old'.

I actually capped it at 4 LPs specifically so everyone would be in their 20s. Luke reccomends starting at 5 for UaSS, but whatever. I do what I want.
Something I did just notice is that your character as written would be 22 because of the year added by taking the lead to the Survival of the Fittest setting.

So have you thought about Beliefs or Instincts? Why does (or will) this wasteland prophet want to take down the Holocaust Seed?

Trying to get these concepts straight, but Beliefs are the concepts that you get points for fulfilling yeah?

Just wanted to post saying I am reading and active, but haven't the slightest idea of what sort of character I want to play. I kinda want to see what everyone else comes up with to get some ideas, but I think if I wait for David to create a character, we'll NEVER get started.

Trait:If you can't do anything about it, drink.
Grin; it's funny.
If you don't like the result, blow it off.

Beliefs: There's got to be something after despair; try to find it.
You can't beat the Seed at their own game; try to undermine their efforts in other ways.
Don't kick the Meek... too hard; try to hand 'em a clue.

Alright, first are comments on your proposed instincts (I'm assuming you meant Instincts when you wrote traits). Instincts have to be "If/then", "Always" or "Never" statements. So the second would need to be reworked a bit. What I'm thinking for number two is that you can just add an "Always" in front of it, or perhaps a "Always grin when it will make people uncomfortable". I might be projecting a bit much Weston on it with that last suggestion, though.

Now Beliefs: I like the first, except that what's after despair is the answer. I'd also like you to figure out what you're going to do to find it if you want the goal to be pursued immediately.
I like the second. I think it's good as is, but I'd like a bit of clarification on what your plans are re: undermining the Seed and why. This doesn't have to be in the Belief itself, as long as I'm aware of it.
I'd like a bit of explanation on the third belief. Namely, what do you mean by "try to hand them a clue"? I get the first part, though, and I definitely like it.

"I like the first, except that what's after despair is the answer."

Well, kind of. Maybe I ought to re-read, but I thought that The Answer was fundimentally rooted in Despair. If the Despair act according to a reason, than The Answer is less an emotional trait unto itself than it is a simple reversal of Despair. IE, "You can fuck, or you can be fucked, and I know which one I'm gonna be."
But rather then argue (debate is fun, but argument serves no purpose because:) I can just switch to, "I'll find Another Answer."

Instinct: "If you'd despair, grin instead. Never let them see you sweat." Also, I don't really do things to make others uncomfortable. But that's a discussion for another time.

RE: Belief #2. We don't have the guns to fight them head-to-head, and we don't have The Questions to fight them like that. We have to use Underground Philophy. Basically, cut the Needy out from under them.

RE: Belief #3. I want to re-word this, but basically it's a distillation of two things. The first we discussed, but the second is that the disgust comes from their ignorance. If we can show the Needy what the world is, it should strip them of their illusions.
